Frequently Asked Questions
Which Cricut Model do I need?
Any Cricut model will work with this workshop. Most users operate with the Cricut Maker or Explore series, which provide full cutting flexibility for standard stencil sizes. The Cricut Joy will also work; however, it is limited to a 5.5-inch cutting width, so longer stencil designs may need to be rotated or adjusted during setup.
I’ve never used a Cricut before. Is it difficult to learn?
No. The workshop includes clear, step-by-step instruction for preparing files and cutting stencils using Cricut. Even beginners can follow along confidently with the structured workflow provided.
Do I need two monitors since this is an online course?
No, a second monitor is not required. However, many students find it helpful to use another screen or device to watch the lesson while working on their design files. You can easily follow the course using a single computer by pausing and switching between the lesson and your workspace.
Do I need prior design experience?
No advanced design experience is required. The workshop is structured step by step and is beginner-friendly while still providing advanced workflow strategies for experienced builders.
What Software do I need?
The workshop is built specifically around Inkscape (Free) or Adobe Illustrator (Paid) because of their precision vector tools and professional workflow capabilities. You will also need Cricut Design Space Software (Free) which is the software that operates your Cricut. Links will be on Workshop Preparation page you receive upon completion of your registration.
Will this teach me how to paint lures?
No. This workshop focuses on stencil design, scaling, and Cricut optimization. While application techniques are discussed, the primary focus is building professional stencil systems.
Can I sell lures I create using what I learn?
Yes. You are free to design your own stencils and sell finished painted lures. However, workshop files, templates, and instructional materials may not be redistributed or resold.
How Long is the Workshop?
The Course is 4 hours long with a few 5-10 minute breaks.
What happens after I register?
After your Registration is Completed you will receive a link to a page with Complete Instructions and Materials List to Prepare for your Workshop.
